Transguard Group is currently recruiting for an Information Design Manager for their trusted client to be based out of their office in Dubai. Dubai Airports seek a candidate who has a creative flair, a strong understanding of customer needs and presents information effectively and efficiently through a variety of concepts. The candidate will be responsible to develop signage artwork, creative visuals, enhance wayfinding standard and provide quality assurance to existing airport wayfinding and signage system. This is a mid level full time role. For this role the salary ranges from 12000 AED to 25000 AED, which may be slightly negotiatable during the interview.
Duties of Information Design Manager
- Lead the creation of wayfinding concepts/visuals in accordance with the principles of an independent strategic wayfinding design committee and deliver the required design according to specifications.
- Compile creative proposals/briefs and documentation for short- and long-term strategic roadmaps.
- Creates unique designs and branding communication programs for substantial wayfinding initiatives.
- Create simple, easy-to-understand visuals to effectively explain information, directions, operational processes, or concepts.
- Create circulation, orientation, and information strategies.
- Produce and maintain up to date and readily available as built wayfinding route trails across all airport public areas.
- Plan, analyze and create visual solutions to communication problems.
- Lead and manage projects with an expertise in wayfinding information and graphic design.
- Collaborate with technical subject matter specialists to comprehend the purpose and significance of a proposed graphic and use Dubai Airports branding principles to design and produce visualizations and figures accordingly.
- Provide ad-hoc signage-related designs, in line with existing standards, for tactical or operational actions to improve wayfinding.
- Advocate accessibility and inclusive design standards.
Eligibility Requirements for An Information Design Manager
- Bachelor’a degree in Graphic Design, communication design or related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in relevant field.
Skills Desired
- Ability to exhibit and present knowledge of visual and information design principles.
- High-level aesthetic and visual design skills are required, as well as the ability to create high-quality layouts and graphic frameworks.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and subject matter experts and earn their co-ownership in the service resolution.
- Demonstrated designs and understanding with previously designed artworks that were put into practice in the reality.
- Proven strong attention to detail, process orientated, and multitasking abilities.
- Extensive Adobe Creative Suite and other related design software experience.
- Interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities are essential.
