Job Description
Import/Export industry is seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Logistic Coordinator to join their dynamic team. This vacancy was announced by the Khaleej Times on February 2, 2024. Candidates desirous for this role should submit their resume to begin with the application process.
Responsibilities of Logistic Coordinator
- Coordinate and schedule transportation and logistics activities, including shipments, deliveries, and pickups.
- Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and third party logistics providers to arrange transportation services.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of shipping documents, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and customs clearance forms.
- Track shipments and monitor delivery status to ensure on time arrivals and resolve any delays or issues that may arise.
- Maintain inventory records and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
- Coordinate warehousing and storage activities, including inventory management, stock rotation, and space allocation.
- Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and customers to address logistics related inquiries, concerns, and requests.
- Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost optimization.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to logistics operations and performance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies and procedures.
Requirements for Logistic Coordinator
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience of 1-2 years in similar role.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Strong understanding of logistics principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems, including transportation management. systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is a plus.
- Flexibility to work varying hours and travel occasionally as needed.
