Role of Cashier
The Cashier, in Dubai is responsible for processing Transactions in an accurate manner and timely manner. He will be using various modes of payments, while ensuring the delivery of excellent service to all customers. The role holder is also responsible for following the Cash Counter Office (CCO) policies and procedures to carry out the activities as per the guidelines.
Key Accountabilities
- Scan the items, Register the sales, and Process transactions using the required mode of payment.
- Communicate proper rates / denominations of currencies to the customers.
- Conduct security checks for the currency when required.
- Assist customer in a professional and timely manner, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Pack the customers’ scanned items when needed to ensure efficient and speedy service.
- Communicate all customer feedback to the appropriate channels to ensure that the necessary action is taken.
- Promote add on sales and maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
What you’ll do as Cashier
- Install, check, and manage the cash unit and return it at the end of each day.
- Take full responsibility for the security of your counter, cash and other valuables.
- Ensure that bags, card machine and stationary are constantly available at the cash counter.
- Follow the opening, closing, and cash reconciliation procedures.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work.
- Apply and follow MAF Retail’s Human Capital and corporate policies, relevant procedures and instructions.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 0-2 years of Experience in a Cashier / Sales role.

- Highly Organized with strong Multitasking skills.
- Adapt in a Multicultural Environment.
- Excellent Listening Abilities.
- High Attention to detail.
