Catering Manager at Etihad Rail is a crucial role within our Passenger Train Services department, responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering services to ensure a delightful dining experience for passengers. Reporting to the Senior Manager Customer Experience, this position plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the overall customer satisfaction on our trains.
Responsibilities of Catering Manager
- Oversee all catering operations, including menu planning, food preparation, service quality, and cleanliness.
- Ensure that all catering services are delivered according to established standards and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with culinary staff and suppliers to plan and develop menus that cater to diverse passenger preferences and dietary requirements.
- Introduce new and innovative food offerings while maintaining quality and cost-efficiency.
- Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure that all food and beverages industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of catering services to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage relationships with catering suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Develop and manage the catering budget, controlling costs while maintaining high-quality service.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient catering processes.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback related to catering services.
- Utilize customer insights to make data-driven decisions for menu enhancements and service improvements.
- Provide leadership and training to catering staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide exceptional service.
- Promote a culture of excellence and professionalism among catering personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic food preparation environment.

Requirements of Catering Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- 8 +years’ experience in catering management, preferably in the transportation or hospitality industry.
