Job Purpose of A Project Engineer
- Responsible for working together with various teams towards a common goal of delivering projects meeting the contractual requirements, agreed scope and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrate accountabilities for all technical related actions required for successful execution and delivery of projects meeting the goals of the operation.
- You will be required to handle different pump package (Reciprocating/PCP/ALS) projects, across NOV poduction and flow technology production /midstream equipment portfolio of products.
Duties of A Project Engineer
- Handle and manage the projects for various pump packages from handover, LOI/purchase order award until completion and delivery to the client by liaising with different departments, vendors, customers & personnel within the company including sales, finance, engineering, logistics & procurement, construction & service.
- Create and document required work scopes of the project such as quotations, proposals, purchase orders and change orders as required through the duration of the project.
- Responsible for all project planning activities including scope identification, creation of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and documentation gathering consistent with the company codes and standards.
- Responsible for monitoring and controlling projects which includes risk management, change management, and progress management and take corrective action as required to meet plans and budgets on projects.
- Act as liaison between other departments when necessary to ensure the success of the project.
- Take responsibility for the overall project schedule and delivery meeting the contractual supply.
- Preparation of reports, package documents and project drawings as required by the contract and approved VDRL.
- Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures, and programs, including but not limited to the department procedures and processes, safety, and environmental requirements.
What You’ll Do More?
- Conduct technical review and design review meetings with engineering, construction departments as required.
- Perform vendors visit and site inspections to monitor progress for completion the project.
- Define the deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for the project.
- Manage their development and delivery to ensure that the project is delivered in a manner consistent with business unit requirements.
- Adopting a proactive approach to identify risks related to project success.
- Create and maintain a project risk log, develop effective action plans for resolution as early as possible.
- Be conversant and ensure projects meet industry leading quality standards like ISO, API 674/676, ASME, ATEX.
- Participate in the factory acceptance checks at vendor locations and factory as required for each project.
- Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and manage client expectations of product and services.
- Responsible for project close out including invoicing, handovers and lesson learnt reviews with all departments and management reviews.
- Perform other works as assigned.
Who Can Apply?
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Experience
- 5 years of minimum working experience in Pump/Process package project management field.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Strong Fundamental knowledge of Pumps, diesel/gas engines, Motors, Gearboxes, coupling, belt drive, transmissions, hydraulic, pneumatic systems & control panels.
- Strong knowledge of ATEX/ANSI/API/ASME pipes, flanges, and fittings.
- Strong Knowledge of General arrangement, P&ID, instrumentation, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schemes.
- Understanding of electrical installations, VFD & Control Panels (PLC, Soft starter).
- Working knowledge of Internal Combustion Engine, drive arrangements, Transmission, gear reducer, coupling and belt drive selection knowledge.
- Knowledge of VFD/PLC automation control systems.
- Capable of managing multiple projects & multitasker.
