Job Description

Al Futtaim Group is actively seeking qualified and experienced individual to take on the role of a Business Development Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth in the government and fleet sectors for both traditional Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Trucks. The job holder will focus on promoting Volvo’s Electric Vehicles (EVs) in the UAE, establishing robust connections with key stakeholders, crafting compelling proposals, and facilitating seamless collaboration among stakeholders. Success in this role will contribute significantly to expanding Volvo’s market share in both ICE and Electric Vehicle segments. 

Duties of Business Development Manager

  • Take full responsibility for achieving monthly unit targets in both Volvo ICE and Electric Vehicles.
  • Work closely with the head of sales and product manager to establish monthly and quarterly objectives by model.
  • Develop a robust forecasting strategy, enabling accurate weekly forecasts of sales and gross margin for direct communication to the line manager.
  • Measure, monitor, and compare sales progression each month, taking appropriate actions to ensure the sales plan is achieved.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a Business Development Manager are as under:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably in Engineering or Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, specifically in Heavy Commercial Vehicles or trucks Superstructure and equipment Manufacturing.
  • UAE experience is an added advantage.

Skills Desired

  • Demonstrated strong project management skills.
  • Proven ability in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills to facilitate successful deals and partnerships.
  • Solid financial awareness and business acumen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in other regionally spoken languages, including Arabic, is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and presentation skills.
