Responsibilities of Door Attendant
- Greets all guests entering and leaving the hotel entrance, using the appropriate salutation that maintains a welcoming atmosphere.
- Open the car door for all guests arriving or leaving from the main entrance of the property in a polite and courteous manner and greet them with a warm smile welcoming them on arrival and departure.
- Co-ordinates with the bell attendants to ensure they remove luggage/parcels from vehicles of guests arriving at the hotel entrance and to arrange for their delivery to the guest rooms.
- Ensure the safe storage of luggage in the storeroom, maintaining cleanliness and tidiness at all times.
- Hail taxis for Guests, utilize the designated taxi company, open taxi doors, assist Guests in seating, and provide necessary assistance.
- Receives incoming packages/letters/documents for guests – record their acceptance and arrange delivery to the recipient in a timely manner.
- Identify and assist with security matters as a first point of call for guests checking into the SBU to ensure any security risks are minimized.
Requirements of Door Attendant
- Secondary School.
- 2 years previous experience as Doorman/Bell Attendant.
- Experience in handling guest complaints at the highest service levels.
Skills Desired
- Proficient in English and a second language (preferably Russian) would be an added advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
