Job Description

The Heavy Duty Driver job at Egis gives you a real shot at joining a top construction outfit in Dubai. This full-time gig, based onsite, pays a tax-free AED 3,000-4,000 a month, a decent wage for heavy vehicle drivers in the UAE. Responsibilities

  • Drive heavy trucks to get workers and materials to job sites safely.
  • Check your vehicle before and after trips to make sure it’s good to go.
  • Stick to UAE road rules and company safety policies, like buckling up.
  • Keep workers safe during rides by making sure they follow rules.
  • Fill out daily logs with trip details, progress, or any hold-ups.
  • Lend a hand loading and unloading gear at sites when needed.
  • Report any truck issues to your supervisor right away.
  • Chat clearly with your team, boss, and clients about schedules.
  • Deal with tricky roads or weather to keep things safe.
  • Keep your truck clean and do basic upkeep, like checking fluids.
  • Plan smart routes using maps or GPS to save time.
  • Jump in to help the team during crunch times or urgent jobs.
  • Show up for safety briefings to stay sharp on procedures.
  • Stay professional when dealing with clients or site workers.
  • Follow Egis’s safety and conduct rules on every shift.

Requirements

Education

 High school diploma or equivalent. A valid UAE commercial driver’s license is a must.

Experience

At least 3 years driving heavy vehicles, preferably in construction or logistics.

Skills

  • Clear way of talking to work with teams and clients.
  • Sharp focus on safety to keep accidents at bay.
  • Enough strength to handle occasional heavy lifting.
  • Good time management to hit delivery schedules.
  • Skill to drive big trucks in tight or busy spots.
  • Dependability to show up and do the job right every day.

Knowledge

  • Solid know-how of UAE traffic laws and safety rules.
  • Basic understanding of heavy truck maintenance.
  • Familiarity with construction site transport and safety.
  • Ability to use maps or GPS for quick routes.
  • Basic English for logs and chats; Arabic is a bonus.
  • Awareness of safe ways to handle materials on the move.
