In Dubai, the retail sector is currently looking for the position of Procurement Officer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and a proven track record of negotiating and managing supplier contracts.
Responsibilities of Procurement Officer
Following are the responsibilities for the job holder:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts and terms.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure that contractual obligations are met.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that purchasing needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory levels.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements of Procurement Officer
- Associate degree or diploma in relatd field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
