Job Title

Information Technology Officer

Responsibilities

  • Keep an eye on all computer hardware to make sure it’s working right.
  • Act as the go-to person for fixing computers, printers, and other tech.
  • Stock up on office and IT supplies to avoid running low.
  • Update hardware and software logs to stay on top of procedures.
  • Document all hardware setups and keep an inventory list.
  • Track the hotel’s telephone system and MPT line configurations.
  • Follow IT department procedures and tackle related tasks.
  • Fix PCs, printers, telephones, key lock systems, and interactive tech.
  • Manage user access for systems like Windows 2000, email, Opera, and Microsoft.
  • Sort out user requests with quick, reliable tech support.
  • Keep systems secure and running smoothly for hotel operations.
  • Log all maintenance and repair tasks for clear records.
  • Team up with colleagues to troubleshoot tech issues fast.
  • Stay clued in on hotel operations to align IT support.
  • Pitch in with ideas to boost system efficiency and guest experience.

Requirements

Education

  • A degree in information technology or a related field is required.
  • IT certifications like CompTIA or Cisco are a bonus.

Experience

1–2 years in IT support or maintenance, ideally in hospitality.

Skills

  • Strong knack for fixing computers, printers, and tech systems.
  • Clear English to communicate with staff and report issues.
  • Quick problem-solving for tech glitches under pressure.
  • Solid team player, helping out during busy hotel moments.
  • Sharp eye for detail to keep systems secure and smooth.
  • Flexible to handle unexpected tech or user requests.

Knowledge 

  • Deep know-how of IT systems like Opera, Micros, and Win2000.
  • Gets Abu Dhabi’s high standards for hotel tech support.
  • Familiar with maintaining telephone and key lock systems.
