Job Description
The Chalhoub Group is presently searching for a meticulous accountant reporting to join its finance staff in Dubai, UAE. Designed for experts fluent in financial reporting, audit coordination, and technical accounting in line with IFRS criteria, this is a full-time job.The role entails maintaining exact financial records, controlling annual and monthly closings, and offering complete accounting advice to internal parties.Someone who has previously experience in financial reporting and has just become a Chartered Accountant or ACCA would find this work ideal.Arabic ability is a plus; English fluency is a must.

Job Title
Accountant – Reporting
Responsibilities
- Prepare and lead pre-closure meetings with finance teams, ensuring all discussions are documented.
- Deliver accurate Trial Balances (TBs) to finance teams within stipulated deadlines.
- Address queries on TBs within one working day to maintain reporting accuracy.
- Maintain and update all Balance Sheet schedules by the 15th of the following month.
- Resolve pending technical issues within assigned entities promptly.
- Coordinate with internal teams to address matters affecting financial reporting.
- Monitor IT-related reporting issues and ensure timely escalation where necessary.
- Complete and sign off monthly reporting checklists prior to releasing financial results.
- Ensure all business-related recharges are accurately processed.
- Fulfill all Control Self-Assessment (CSA) requirements with appropriate documentation.
- Finalize and sign off audit processes by the end of February.
- Ensure there are no unresolved topics in the audit Management Letter.
- Prepare and consolidate Allied Financial Statements by specified deadlines.
- Supervise external audit documentation and coordinate reporting with external stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA qualification (recently qualified preferred).
Experience
Proven experience in financial reporting within a corporate or audit environment.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in financial statement preparation and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Analytical thinking with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines efficiently.
- Competence in financial systems and reporting tools.
Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of IFRS accounting principles.
- Awareness of audit procedures and documentation requirements.
- Knowledge of internal reporting processes and financial KPIs.
- Understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
