Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Log issues like repairs or damages using the in-house system
  • Keep all cleaning tools and carts in working condition
  • Maintain an accurate record of the rooms handled daily
  • Lead the daily team briefing before shift begins
  • Walk through rooms to verify cleanliness and report anything off
  • Support new team members during their onboarding period
  • Make sure guest requests are completed in a timely manner
  • Communicate VIP guest expectations clearly to the team
  • Track room readiness updates throughout the day
  • Maintain good communication with the Assistant Housekeeping Manager
  • Review stock levels of linens and cleaning supplies regularly
  • Keep safety and hygiene practices up to standard

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Hotel management diploma or similar qualification preferred.

Experience

  • 2 to 3 years in hotel housekeeping.
  • At least 1 year managing or supervising a team.

Skills

  • Strong communication in English.
  • Basic computer skills including PMS knowledge.
  • Confident managing small teams under pressure.
  • Good organizational habits.
  • Polite and calm when dealing with guests.

Knowledge

  • Room inspection procedures and quality control.
  • Health and safety requirements in hotels.
  • Handling guest complaints effectively.
  • Difference between standard and VIP room setups.
  • Stock and supply tracking for housekeeping.
