Job Description

A vacancy has opened for a Safety Officer at Emirates Logistics LLC in Dubai. Job Title

Safety Officer

Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily inspections around the warehouse and related facilities
  • Make sure personnel use correct safety gear at all times
  • Monitor break timings and ensure staff follow the set rules
  • Identify dangers or harmful circumstances and report them to the supervisors
    Handle any cases of misconduct or disorder, working with line managers
  • Assist with onboarding safety inductions for new hires
  • Organize routine safety training sessions with staff
  • Maintain and monitor safety equipment such extinguishers, exit signs, and alarms
  • Keep first aid supplies supplied and give first aid help when needed
  • Record all safety-related occurrences and preserve reports
  • Lead emergency drills and evacuation exercises when planned
  • Ensure emergency exits remain clear and operable
  • Help establish adequate waste disposal and hygiene requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification is essential

Experience

Around 2–4 years in a safety-focused role, preferably in warehousing or logistics

Skills

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Confident when speaking to teams and giving safety briefings
  • Physically capable of regular movement across the site
  • Knows how to spot unsafe behavior and correct it tactfully
  • Detail-oriented with a clear focus on avoiding risk
  • Works well under pressure and communicates calmly

Knowledge

  • Workplace health and safety standards
  • PPE compliance and proper use
  • How to respond to emergencies and handle minor injuries
  • Safety inspections and basic record keeping
  • General warehouse or industrial operations
  • Basic waste management and hygiene principles
