Information Technology Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Check computer systems daily to ensure smooth operation
  • Respond to staff support tickets and fix issues quickly
  • Keep records of all devices and software used in the hotel
  • Maintain inventory of computer supplies and tools
  • Work with outside vendors if hardware needs service
  • Handle email, Wi-Fi, and local network troubleshooting
  • Take care of system backups and user access requests
  • Log all changes made to system settings or equipment
  • Help set up new users and devices when needed
  • Monitor system performance and report any risks
  • Update access for platforms like Opera, Micros, and others
  • Support other departments with tech needs and minor training
  • Help with repairs of printers, phones, and point-of-sale terminals
  • Maintain the telephone system configuration logs
  • Stay informed about IT policies, updates, and procedures

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar field

Experience

  • At least 1–2 years in an IT-related job
  • Prior experience in hotels or guest service environments is helpful

Skills

  • Able to troubleshoot both software and hardware problems
  • Knows how to manage time well
  • Familiar with basic system security
  • Communicates clearly and listens well
  • Can handle pressure calmly
  • Willing to assist across departments when needed

Knowledge

  • Comfortable with hotel software systems like Opera or Micros
  • Understands basic network structure
  • Familiar with Windows-based platforms and applications
  • Has an idea of data backup routines and inventory logs
  • Knows how to work with telephony and access systems
  • Understands basic safety and privacy standards in IT
