Job Description

There’s a vacancy right now at the Waldorf Astoria on the Palm. They’re hiring for a full-time on-site electrician. Not remote, not freelance—you’ve got to be here in Dubai or at least somewhere in the UAE. The electrician role is pretty hands-on. It’s about keeping things running behind the scenes, fixing lights, handling AV setups when events happen, and jumping into action when something breaks. It’s a hotel, so things move fast and timing matters. You need to be able to work different shifts, weekends maybe. If you’ve got 3–5 years working in hotels or luxury buildings, that’s a good fit. A diploma in electrical stuff is required. Pay and benefits are based on experience, but accommodation and transport are usually part of the deal.

About Hilton

Hilton’s been around forever, and you probably already know the name. This role’s with the Waldorf Astoria division, which is Hilton’s top-end brand. Their location on Palm Jumeirah is one of the most high-end in Dubai. The team there is tight, systems are organized, and standards are high. If you’ve worked in hotels before, you know the pace. You’ll be expected to move fast, keep things smooth, and stay professional even when things go sideways.

  • If a guest reports a problem, you’ll be the one heading over to sort it out.
  • Do regular checks on control panels, wiring, AV systems, and anything else electrical.
  • Help out with routine maintenance. Nothing overcomplicated, just staying ahead of issues.
  • Keep notes on what you’ve done; basic logs and records are part of the job.
  • Make sure your tools are clean, organized, and ready whenever needed.
  • Follow hotel and Dubai safety rules, especially when working in guest areas.
  • Don’t rush through tasks. Take your time and do things right.
