Job Description

Media Rotana in Dubai is currently hiring an AC technician full -time to join the engineering and maintenance team. This role provides an opportunity to work in a high standard hospitality environment. As a AC Technician you will be responsible for serving, maintaining and repairing the HVAC system including freezers, coolers, fan coil devices and cooling systems in the hotel property. Applicants should have a relevant diploma in cooling or building services and have proven expertise in the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of air conditioning. Candidates should also have good communication skills, an active attitude and the ability to be composed in a busy environment. The situation is based in Dubai and provides a competitive pay package with benefits.

Job Title

AC Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Prevent CFC emissions and follow environmental safety protocols.
  • Manage oil and refrigerant levels and support major overhauls.
  • Liaise with the Engineering Storekeeper for parts procurement.
  • Adhere to UAE technical standards and hotel safety regulations.
  • Maintain responsibilities, service, and all air conditioners and cooling systems at the hotel.
  • Make sure the effective function of screen and freezer, refrigerator, ice manufacturer, fan coil units and cooler.
  • Diagnosis of preventive maintenance and system errors.
  • Make sure the door packs, barriers, and defrost systems work properly.
  • Maintain air handling devices and fan coils regularly.
  • Collaborate with members of the engineering team for equipment diagnosis and setup.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Diploma in Refrigeration Systems or Building Services Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC or A/C Technician roles in a hotel or commercial environment.

Skills:

  • HVAC servicing and system diagnostics.
  • Electrical and mechanical repair knowledge.
  • Preventive maintenance skills.
  • Technical documentation and equipment logs handling.
  • Communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic computer operation and reporting skills.

Knowledge:

  • Operation of refrigeration and chiller systems.
  • CFC and environmental safety procedures.
  • Equipment overhauling and system calibration.
  • UAE building codes and technical regulations.
  • HVAC automation and fault analysis.

Applicants must be currently based in the United Arab Emirates or willing to relocate to Dubai.
