Job Description

Duties of Manager Events & Activations

Strategic Contribution & Planning:

  • Support in cascading of the Sales and Development function strategy into Marketing department business plans. To ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies.
  • Support in the preparation of the Marketing department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while. Ensuring all sectional activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
  • Prepare budgets and keep track of actual events’ related costs such as venue costs, branding costs, sales travel costs, and marketing costs and formulate action plans to avoid exceeding budgets.

People Management:

  • Act as a role model and drive adherence to organizational values and ethics as employees of the Marketing department to foster a value-driven culture within the organization.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:

  • Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives. Support the reporting line in setting the Marketing department’s individual objectives, tracking performance, and motivating staff to maximize sectional performance.
  • Ensure effective implementation of Marketing department policies, procedures, and controls covering all areas of the department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.

Global Activation Events:

  • To plan and manage the activities of DAMAC’s activation events including facilities booking, developing customized marketing & communication content, designing marketing campaigns and media plans, event branding techniques, and delivery of marketing collateral in alignment with the company’s overall marketing policies.
  • Perform research and selection of venue, marketing vendors, and print media vendors in coordination with DAMAC’s procurement team for the planned  activations and events.
  • Generate purchase requisitions on the IPMS software and liaise with DAMAC’s finance team. Ensuring processing of the vendor payments on time.
  • Lead the due-diligence procedures of the planned events’ suitability. Provide respective analysis and feedback to the reporting line and upper management.
  • Prepare accurate schedules & supporting documentation for the planned activation events of DAMAC. Maintain an advanced plan for each event with the flexibility to accommodate short notice requests when required.
  • Ensure essential requirements including travel permits, PCR, vaccination certificate, and Visa documentation in the chosen countries of events have been complied with for all the DAMAC employees that are part of the event organisation.
  • Ensure that all the activation events organized by DAMAC are executed in line with the relevant Covid-19 guidelines and the applicable environmental, health & safety rules and regulations.

Performance Management:

  • Track the efficacy and success of all the marketing events undertaken by the team by conducting and analyzing the results of post-event surveys, tracking performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), monitoring reports and insights, promoting data-driven decision-making, and providing subsequent analysis reports to the upper management.
  • Collate all post-event feedback from the concerned stakeholders. Identify areas of improvement in the action plans and execution of future.
  • Maintain and upkeep DAMAC’s planned monthly events tracker with complete event details to derive the cost ratio of closures in comparison to the expense incurred.
  • Provide events closure reports and location-wise sales analysis to the reporting line for effective decision-making for planning the activities and content of future events.
  • Prepare financial reports and perform a detailed analysis of the event cost. Sales value generated through each event facilitating better decision-making of the financial performance.

Collaboration:

  • Establish and maintain strong relations with the external vendors of all the activation events. To ensure continuous and smooth services to DAMAC.
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm new and creative marketing events and concepts.
  • Liaise with other Marketing teams of DAMAC to publicize. Promote all the planned activation events via both online and offline platforms.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.

Reporting:

  • Ensure that all unit report is prepare timely and accurately and meet DAMAC requirements, policies, and quality standards.

Eligibility Requirements for Role of Manager Events & Activations

The requirements for the job role of Manager Events & Activations are as under:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Post–graduation in Marketing/MBA is highly prefer.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in the real estate, and hospitality sector including at least 3 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
