Job Description
HSBC is presently hiring suitably qualified and experienced candidate for the job role of Analyst Sustainability Commercial Banking MENAT. The purpose of this role is to lead initiatives across various topics which are critical enablers of the sustainability business. Specifically, the role will cover all aspects related to internal and external communications, marketing, and events as well as sustainability performance reporting. In addition, this person will assist the regional head of sustainability on evolving the strategy of the business and reporting progress in various governance forums.
Responsibilities of Analyst Sustainability
- Work with marketing team on runway of events and leading logistics including reviewing content for invitations, event agenda, confirmation of speakers, event content.
- Assist with case studies, speaking notes for panels and submission of success for relevant awards to showcase our progress.
- Assist with any internal and external calls, ensuring that CMB sustainability narrative is well embedded in all relevant communication.
- Work with regional marketing team and communication team to make sure that all our communications and posts align with the group guidelines.
- Lead SF deal reporting by working with country sustainability leads to ensure pipeline.
- Monitor CME SF deals status updates with SF gatekeepers. All approved or decline deals to be properly recorded/updated in CME for CME sites along with the relevant supporting approvals/documents.
- Support to develop materials to clearly and effectively communicate CMB MENAT Sustainability strategic priorities and progress.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and developments related to ESG
- Conduct performance analysis by using PowerPoint and Excel to effectively present the business progress.
- Demonstrate proficient critical thinking skills to discern areas for improvement.
Requirements of Analyst Sustainability
- Graduation degree is a must, to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
- 2-3 years of experience in any of the following is required: project management, strategy, business management.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- A sound knowledge of the Corporate Banking business, including credit & lending, trade & payment products, services, systems and processes.
- Strong Microsoft skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Demonstration of knowledge in the field of Sustainability or Sustainable Finance including strong knowledge of the Group and CMB’s sustainability strategy, priorities and initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Track record of flexibility and adaptability in fluid environments of constantly changing priorities.
- Under the New Labour Law, only fixed term contracts shall be available to all employees of HSBC UAE (except DIFC and ADGM employees) hence in line with the term of work permit, a 4 years’ contract would be issued.
