Engagement & Development Senior Officer at Khalifa University is responsible to oversees the implementation of initiatives and programs related to student engagement. Duties of Engagement & Development Senior Officer

• Oversees student engagement in the Academic Programs.
• Help to plan, organize, and implement student success strategies
• Support students with setting personal goals and connecting desired outcomes with current activities, time management skills, prioritizing commitments and meeting deadlines.
• Monitor students’ academic progress; Identify & generate reports of At‐Risk students in coordination with the Academic Dean’s office
• Arrange remedial classes: One‐to One peer tutoring, futorials, exam revisions etc.
• Support students in establishing career plans and objectives consistent with their educational qualifications.
• Identify gifted students, provide support to enrich their skills, facilitate opportunities for the university to benefit from talented skills.
• Encourages students to engage in national and international competitions.
• Encourage students to apply for prestigious scholarships and honorable awards.
• Support students with justification to get exceptional opportunities granted by the Dean/Registrar’s office.
• Encourage students to participate in entrepreneurship and leadership activities to enhance their personal growth.
• Encourage students to become active members of professional societies.
• Provide students with opportunities for meaningful and rewarding personal and professional growth.
• Adhere to the University’s information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Provide coaching, guidance and mentoring as required to enhance the internal capabilities of the team and ensure the achievement of established objectives and plans.
• Recommend appropriate training courses as per the pre‐determined training needs, evaluate their effectiveness, and monitor their results.
• Carry out performance appraisals for subordinates according to planned schedules and recommend necessary actions as per the applied practices.
• Conduct periodic meetings with subordinates to ensure that priorities are clear and workflow is running smoothly.
• Follow up on employees’ administrative affairs such as vacations, leaves and other administrative and related affairs.

Job Requirements of Engagement & Development Senior Officer

• A Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• A minimum 7 to 9 years of relevant experience.
• UAE Nationals: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
