Job Description
Chalhoub Group is currently hiring experienced and qualified individual to take on the role of Procurement Manager in Dubai. Candidate will be responsible for creating and driving strategic sourcing for a group of spend categories within the Chalhoub Group and its Joint Venture affiliates. Candidate will also interfacing at the Executive Committee level of the company, with the ability to understand stakeholder needs and drive results, collaboration with multiple Business Units to secure optimal purchasing opportunities is critical to the success of this role. Job holder will also responsible for putting together a centralized procurement team, with emphasis on category management capabilities. Responsibilities of Procurement Manager
- Lead creation and implementation of sourcing & demand management strategies for assigned categories of spend.
- Manage the development of RFP materials, detailed analysis of proposals & vendor capabilities.
- Identify problem areas and adopt current and emerging business models with an entrepreneurial mindset & creative approach to drive best practice.
- Lead & coach a team responsible to strategically partner with business unit leaders and contribute to brand strategy by providing procurement expertise and strategic partnering for purchasing opportunities.
- Counsel business unit leaders regarding purchasing processes, technology capabilities & policies to assist in the procurement lifecycle.
- Build & manage relationships with priority business executives, serves as a key member of the business unit leadership team to support implementation of business strategies.
- Facilitate the entire sourcing process & closely collaborate with the stakeholders to select and award business to suppliers.
- Demonstrates a strategic business mindset, organizational savvy, presents an executive-level presence & balances multiple stakeholder interests simultaneously.
- Create, drive & mentor staff in long-term strategic planning efforts for assigned sourcing categories including advanced multi-year category strategies designed to anticipate enterprise-wide requirements.
- Lead the development & negotiation of contracts with new suppliers.
- Renegotiate existing contracts to accomplish lowest total system cost and savings.
Requirements for Role of Procurement Manager
- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or in a related field.
- 3+ Years’ experience in handling Technology Category Procurement in a matrix organization.
- 3+ Years’ experience in Sourcing, Tendering, Procurement and Implementation of solutions in the technology category.
- Exceptional negotiation skills.
