Paints industry in Dubai is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join their supermarket team. The ideal candidate will assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of customer service and efficiency.
Responsibilities of Assistant Manager
- Assist the Store Manager in day to day operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, and inventory control.
- Supervise and train staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety, sanitation, and merchandising standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well stocked store environment.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner.
- Collaborate with department managers to coordinate promotions, displays, and special events.
- Assist with ordering and receiving inventory, and manage product rotation and expiration dates.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Requirements of Assistant Manager
- High school diploma in relevant field.
- Previous experience of 1-2 years in similar role.
Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of retail operations, including cash handling, inventory management, and customer service best practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems and computer proficiency.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) a plus.
