Charterhouse is currently supporting a leading client within the Project Development and Contracting space, whom are looking to hire a Senior Financial Accountant to support their regional business entities managed from their UAE branch in Sharjah.
Responsibilities of Senior Accountant
- With a reporting line to the Finance Director, Senior Accountant shall oversee, manage all areas of financial accounting, whilst.
- Develop any accounting best practice to ensure accurate and timely reporting along with adherence to audit policies.
- This role will focus across the consolidation of accounts to support both financial analysis and management accounting i.e P&L, cashflow control & receivables management.
- This role will also support VAT filing and the oversight of payables and invoicing.
- In conjunction, this role will also require a candidate whom can oversee a fixed asset register whilst also developing financial and variance analysis-based reporting tools.
Requirements of Senior Accountant
- Part-qualified or recently qualified Accountant.
- Minimum of 5 years experience.
Skills and Abilities Desired
- Ability to demonstrate a background within transactional accounting and reporting-based finance functions.
- Understand audit and IFRS-related principles whilst being able to work across ERP systems and accounting packages to a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong Excel proficiency to develop areas of financial analysis and business controls
- Self-starter candidate, whom is able to develop accounting policies, reporting controls and IT systems linked to financial reports and consolidation.
