Job Description

The Audiologist role involves examining, diagnosing, and treating patients with hearing, balance, and other ear-related disorders. The role includes conducting hearing tests, recommending assistive devices, and ensuring high-quality patient care in compliance with M42 and DOH/DHA standards.

Audiologist Responsibilities

  • •Examine patients to assess hearing and speech/language disorders.
  • •Conduct hearing evaluations, tests, and medical examinations.
  • •Develop hearing loss screening programs.
  • •Plan and conduct treatment in collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • •Recommend, fit, and dispense assistive devices (e.g., hearing aids, cochlear implants).
  • •Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
  • •Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • •Participate in research and conferences on audiology topics.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s in Audiology, Speech and Hearing (2 years experience) or Speech-Language Pathology (1 year experience) is required; a Master’s in Audiology is preferred. Requires 1-2 years of clinical experience and a valid DOH/DHA license.
