Job Description

NAFFCO presently has a job opening for suitably qualified and experienced candidate for position of a BMS Draughtman in Dubai.

Job Description of BMS Draughtman

  • Develop detailed schematics and layouts for Building Management Systems (BMS) that meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to ensure alignment on design requirements and project timelines.
  • Utilize advanced CAD software to produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings for system installations and upgrades.
  • Review and interpret technical specifications and documentation to create comprehensive draughting solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the draughting process.
  • Conduct field surveys and site inspections to gather relevant data for accurate design and drafting.
  • Prepare as-built drawings that reflect changes made during the construction phase for future reference and maintenance.
  • Assist in the selection of materials and components needed for BMS projects, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide updates and insights on draughting progress and challenges.
  • Maintain organized records of drawings and revisions to facilitate easy access and collaboration among team members.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in BMS draughting or a similar technical role.
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant CAD software essential for BMS designs.
  • Certifications in Building Management Systems or relevant technical qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and building automation technologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics with precision.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and quality in all draughting assignments.
