Responsibilities of Housekeeping
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, suites, and public areas according to established standards and procedures
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including making beds, changing linens, dusting furniture, and vacuuming carpets
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and countertops
- Replenish amenities and supplies in guest rooms, such as toiletries, towels, and linens
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with hotel policies and procedures
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness and report any maintenance issues or damages to the housekeeping supervisor
- Follow safety protocols and use proper cleaning techniques and equipment to prevent accidents and injuries
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with guests and colleagues
- Assist with special cleaning projects and tasks as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor or management
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and service excellence
Requirements of Housekeeping
- Previous experience of 1-2 years in housekeeping or a similar role preferred but not required
Skills and Knowledge desired
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as mattresses and furniture
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the hospitality industry
