Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL)
The NDI Technician at Global Aerospace Logistics is responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) examinations and related activities (i.e. radiography, ultrasonic and visual examinations, eddy current, liquid penetrant, infrared thermal, etc) in order to test the properties of the assigned aircraft’s materials, components and systems, and determine where problems or defects are present.
Duties of Workshop Technician Aviation Maintenance
- Work with different testing Procedures and Acceptance Criteria depending on the type of material and client request.
- Perform special inspections in accordance with the applicable OEM/ Platform requirements.
- Advised on structural and low observable repair, modification, and corrosion protection treatment with respect to original strength, weight, and contour to maintain structural and low observable integrity. And Ensured aircraft component balance is maintained.
- Assembled repairs using special fasteners and adhesives. Painted aircraft and support equipment.
- Have knowledge of common referencing standard for commercial/ Fighter aircrafts documentation (ATA chapters/ Documentation/ MM/ SB/ MEL/ IPC).
- Familiar with sheet metal work and experienced.
Eligibility Requirements
The requirements for the role of Workshop Technician Aviation Maintenance are as under:
- Engineering Diploma or equivalent (Mechanical Structure).
- Certification related to level 2 NDI/NDT Technician role.
- 2 years experience in similar post.
- Atleast 4 trained and familiar in 4 valid methods.
- Experienced with sheet metal trade.
- Experienced in testing methods such Eddy Current, X-Ray, visual Inspection and base material, depending on the type of material.
