Job Description
NAFFCO presently has a job opening for suitably qualified and experienced candidate for position of a Design & Estimation Engineer Fire Alarm in Sharjah.
Job Description of Design & Estimation Engineer
- Design and develop fire alarm system layouts in compliance with local codes and standards, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for fire alarm projects, factoring in materials, labor, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to finalize project specifications and timelines, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Utilize advanced design software and tools to create detailed schematics and plans for fire alarm installations.
- Review and interpret technical specifications and drawings to provide insightful input during project planning phases.
- Compile and submit necessary documentation for regulatory approvals and permits required for fire alarm installations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and adherence to project schedules.
- Provide technical support and training to installation teams, ensuring they understand the design intent and installation requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and legislation affecting fire alarm systems to continuously enhance design practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire alarm design and estimation, with a proven track record of successful project completions.
- Experience working in the construction or engineering industry, specifically in fire protection systems, is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software to create precise fire alarm system layouts.
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex technical requirements and develop effective design solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
