Job Description
The Medical Representative is responsible for promoting pharmaceutical products to relevant medical establishments. They will meet with doctors and hospital teams and make presentations to persuade potential clients to use their goods which include medicines, prescription drugs etc. to a variety of customers including general practitioners (GPs), hospital doctors, pharmacists, and nurses and expand the customer network by achieving the sales distribution target of the division.
Key Accountabilities
- Customer Development & Joint Business Planning:
- Drive sales & market share growth in Hospital/Private Pharmacy Channel.
- Identify key customers and to develop & implement joint business plan with the customer to achieve sales and growth objectives.
- Report Competitor’s activities and look for new business opportunities to safeguard the customer base and increase market share.
- Team Leadership:
- Should be team oriented, working as a team member assisting and supporting their team members and other department in achieving a shared vision.
- Communicate ideas and plans with clarity and purpose driven by company values and divisions vision.
- Manage personal time schedule and productivity.
- Maintain highest levels of product knowledge, personal development, quality standards and business ethics.
- Takes the initiative, suggests and development plans to explore and create new relations, contacts, and sales opportunities to improve market penetration into existing and new markets.
- Business performance:
- Meeting and exceeding sales and profitability targets of the department.
- Successfully responsible to effectively implement and monitor sales and distribution objectives.
- Responsible for their team to collect and compile market information on various competitive brands.
- Responsible for their team for their continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and adherence to the quality management system.
Qualification & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceuticals.
- Minimum 2 years in Pharmaceutical sales as a Medical Representative
- Strong communication skills. Language requirements are English, Arabic is a plus
- Leadership skills to motivate and drive the team
- Excellent Presentation & Negotiation skills.
- Driving License is a must.
