Job Description

Responsibilities of Front Office Hotel Host

  • Greet arriving and departing guests with warmth and professionalism.
  • Handle check-in and check out efficiently and accurately.
  • Respond to guest inquiries about hotel amenities, local attractions, and other information.
  • Resolve guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Manage room reservations and assignments according to hotel policies and guest preferences.
  • Process payments and billings in accordance with established procedures.
  • Update and maintain guest information and room status in the property management system.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Handle routine paperwork, filing, and other miscellaneous tasks.
  • Promote additional services and products to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
  • Maintain a clean and presentable appearance according to the hotel’s dress code.
  • Attend training sessions and maintain knowledge of hotel policies and procedures.
  • Be familiar with and follow hotel safety and security protocols.
  • Report any suspicious activity or security concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure guest safety by being aware of potential hazards and taking appropriate precautions.

Requirements of Front Office Hotel Host

The requirements of Front Office Hotel Host are as under:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of customer service experience is required, preferably in a hotel or related field.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Must have schedule flexibility for both AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Requires strong command of the English language to include speaking, reading and writing
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position with guest interaction
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
