Job Description

GMG presently has a job opening for suitably qualified and experienced candidate for position of a Business Intelligence Developer at GMG Building, Umm Hurair Rd, Oud Metha, Dubai, AE. This is an Intermediate level full time role. For this position salary ranges from 7000-15000 AED, which may be slightly negotiable during the interview process.

Responsibilities

  • Data Modeling and ETL:
  • Design and develop data models and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to transform and prepare data for analysis.
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy throughout the ETL pipeline.
  • Report and Dashboard Development:
  • Create interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms.
  • Customize and optimize reports to meet specific business needs.
  • Query and Analysis:
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from various sources.
  • Perform data analysis to provide actionable insights by identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • BI Tool Administration:
  • Administer and maintain BI tools and platforms.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Collaboration and Requirements Gathering:
  • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather and prioritize BI requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Documentation:
  • Document data models, ETL processes, and report specifications in BRD.
  • Create user guides and training materials for BI solutions.
  • Data Security and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations adopted by the organization.
  • Implement data access controls and encryption as needed.

Requirements for Role of Business Intelligence Developer

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Hands on experience with ETL processes and tools.
  • 2 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or a related field.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI/Tableau/Looker.
  • Strong SQL skills for data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of data modeling concepts and best practices.
