Job Description

NMC Healthcare presently has a job opening for suitably qualified and experienced candidate for position of a Officer Insurance Approval at NMC Royal Hospital, DIP, Dubai, AE. Candidate take insurance approval for medications against prescriptions generated by clinician. This is an Intermediate level full time role. For this position salary ranges from 5000-8000 AED, which may be slightly negotiable during the interview process.

Responsibilities of Officer Insurance Approval

  • Regularly check for new prescriptions generated from outpatient departments.
  • Arrange medicines from shelves against the prescription & process the prescription for insurance approval.
  • Coordinate with doctors for any changes and clarification required in prescription.
  • Serves customers by backing-up receptionist/pharmacists answering telephonic queries; forwarding messages; confirming customer orders; keeping customers informed of order status.
  • Follow-up for pending approvals and pending medicines.
  • Co-ordinate with other units for transfer of medicines or other general products.
  • Other duty assigned by the Head of the Department.

Requirements for Role of Officer Insurance Approval

  • At least a high school graduate or its equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in insurance, claims management, or healthcare approvals.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Good Communication skills.
  • The ability to cope with the pressure of fast-paced work.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
