Job Description

Maintenance Technician in Everyday Goods Food at GMG will be responsible for performing hands-on maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment used within GMG’s Farm Fresh processing operations. The candidate ensures that all equipment is maintained in optimal working condition by conducting regular inspections, diagnosing malfunctions, and executing repair and preventive maintenance tasks. This role is essential to minimize downtime, support production efficiency, and uphold GMG’s standards for safety and equipment reliability. This is an Entry level full time job. And salary can range between 3000-5000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Maintenance Technician

  • Perform daily maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and resolving minor mechanical and electrical issues to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Assist in implementing preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Inspect equipment for wear and potential issues, replacing faulty components promptly to avoid breakdowns.
  • Coordinate with the Assistant Manager – Maintenance for major repairs and communicate equipment statuses effectively.
  • Document maintenance activities and manage tools and spare parts inventory.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols.
  • Work closely with production staff to provide input for enhancing machine performance.
  • Recommend improvements to increase machinery efficiency.
  • Contribute to fostering a safe and effective maintenance culture within the facility.

Requirements for Role of Maintenance Technician

  • High School Diploma.
  • 1-2 year of experience in maintenance or in a similar role.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
  • Familiarity with food processing equipment and machinery.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment handling best practices.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Attention to detail in documenting maintenance activities.
