Hotels/Restaurant industry is looking to hire suitably skilled and devoted candidate for role of Kitchen Helper/Steward in Dubai. As a Kitchen Helper/Steward, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen area, supporting kitchen staff, and ensuring a hygienic environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail oriented, and capable of handling various tasks to assist in the overall efficiency of the kitchen.
Responsibilities of Kitchen Helper/Steward
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment and ensure they are stored appropriately.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, including countertops, sinks, and equipment.
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and portioning ingredients.
- Dispose of waste and maintain recycling practices in the kitchen.
- Keep kitchen floors and work areas clean and free of debris.
- Assist kitchen staff in organizing and storing supplies.
- Follow proper sanitation and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.
Requirements for Kitchen Helper/Steward
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Less than 1 year of experience in similar role.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
