Job Description
AECOM seeking a visionary and experienced Design Manager Infrastructure to join their team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Candidate will oversee the design and development of large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring innovative and sustainable solutions that shape the future of their urban landscape. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 25000-45000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Design Manager Infrastructure
- Lead and manage a team of designers and engineers, providing mentorship and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and implement design strategies for complex infrastructure projects, including transportation systems, utilities, and public facilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to deliver high-quality design outputs.
- Utilize advanced design software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to optimize project efficiency and accuracy.
- Present design concepts and progress reports to senior management and clients.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in infrastructure design and sustainable development.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements for Role of Design Manager Infrastructure
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure design, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Experience working in the Middle East region is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop team members
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
- Expert knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and its application in infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of urban planning principles and sustainable design practices
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
- In-depth knowledge of local and international building codes and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements
