Job Description
Mechanic AW139 at GAL will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on helicopter in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, regulatory requirements, and company procedures. This is an Entry level full time job. And salary can range between 6000-9000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Mechanic
- Maintenance and Repair: Service and maintenance of the aircraft on a daily basis according to the approved maintenance plan as well as unscheduled maintenance that may occur.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and avionics problems on helicopter.
- Pre- and Post-Flight Checks: Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues.
- Component Overhaul and Replacement: Replace or repair defective components, parts, and systems, including airframes, engines, and rotor systems, and avionics equipment.
- Technical Documentation: Complete maintenance documentation accurately and promptly, including work orders, logbook entries, and inspection reports.
- Compliance and Regulations: comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Tool and Equipment Management: Skilled to effectively operate specialized tools and equipment specific to aircraft and aircraft engines.
- Collaboration with Teams: Collaborate with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and pilots to troubleshoot complex issues and optimize aircraft performance.
- Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to unplanned maintenance needs, especially during critical missions, ensuring aircraft readiness with minimal downtime.
- Quality Assurance: ensuring the highest standard of safety and airworthiness.
Requirements for Role of Mechanic
- License: Part 66 Cat A, Cat C, B1.3 or ICAO type II and equivalent.
- Training certification: Part 147 AW139 Airframe and engine type rate training or related AW139 airframe courses.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aeronautical maintenance activity.
- With minimum of 3 years of practical experience working on AW139.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Knowledge of Applicable safety procedures.
- Aeronautical rules and regulations.
- Maintenance materials, manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and advisory circulates.
