Job Description
Senior Buyer at Apparel Group will be responsible for managing the beauty category, ensuring an on-trend, customer- centric product assortment. Candidate will collaborate with suppliers, internal teams, and external stake holders to source negotiate, and select the best beauty products to meet customer demands while maximizing category growth and profitability. Candidate will involve analyzing market trends, ensuring optimal stock levels, and delivering a superior shopping experience across various beauty subcategories such as skincare, makeup, fragrance, and personal care. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 7000-15000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Senior Buyer
- Product Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify and engage with key beauty suppliers and brands, negotiating terms and ensuring products election aligns with customer preferences and business goals.
- Category Planning & Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the beauty category, driving products election, pricing, and promotional planning to meet sales and profitability targets.
- Market Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of beauty industry trends by monitoring customer preferences, competitor activity, and emerging brands to ensure the beauty assortment is always relevant and competitive.
- Product Assortment & Range Development: Build a balanced and diverse beauty product portfolio that includes established brands, new and trending products, and exclusive offerings tailored to your target audience.
- Supplier Negotiation & Relationship Management: Establish strong relationships with beauty suppliers, negotiate favorable terms. And ensure timely delivery of products to maintain stock availability and avoid supply chain disruptions.
- Sales & Performance Analysis: Regularly review sales data, customer feedback, and market trends. To identify opportunities for new products or to optimize the current assortment, ensuring continuous category growth.
- Promotional Planning: Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute effective promotional campaigns, ensuring product launches and seasonal events are well-supported to maximize sales and customer engagement.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to ensure stock levels are optimized, forecasting demand, and preventing overstock or stock-out situations.
- Customer Experience Enhancement: Ensure the customer journey is seamless by selecting products that meet quality standards. Providing comprehensive product descriptions, and optimizing product placement on the platform.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, supply chain, merchandising. And finance to ensure the successful execution of category plans and business goals.
Requirements for Role of Senior Buyer
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in the beauty industry, with a focus on buying, product selection. And vendor management in skincare, makeup, fragrance, or personal care categories.
- Proven experience in e-commerce or retail environments, with a successful track record of managing product categories and driving profitability.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Passion for the beauty industry and a deep understanding of emerging beauty trends, product innovation and consumer behavior.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering on deadlines.
