NMC Healthcare currently has a job opening for suitably qualified candidate for position of a Assistant Psychologist in Plot 61, 35Th Street, Abu Dhabi, AE. This is an Intermediate level full time role. For this position salary ranges from 7000-15000 AED, which may be slightly negotiable during the interview process.

Responsibilities of Assistant Psychologist

• he post holder screens and provides basic interventions as assigned and within the scope of license, training and credentialing under the supervision of clinical psychologist.
• Perform assessments and basic psychological intervention under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist who will have the role of specifying the needed areas of interventions.
• Identify patients requiring more sophisticated or advanced psychological assessment and referring such patients to appropriate and licensed professionals under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist.
• Participate and perform clinical ward rounds with other Multidisciplinary team members.
• Screen newly referred patients.
• Work closely with other clinical team members to ensure the delivery of the best possible rehabilitation care.
• Accurately documents all relevant clinical information in a clear and timely manner.
• Reviews results of all screening in a timely manner under the supervision  of a Clinical Psychologist.
• Communicates information to patients and patients ‘families and friends’ with supervision of a Clinical Psychologist(with consent of the patient or relatives) in a timely manner.
• Maintains a good working relationship with members of staff and promotes collaboration and a team-based approach to patient care.
• Complies with all facility policies regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, procedures, prescribing and discharge protocols.
• Adheres to established policies regarding patient confidentiality and informed consent.
• Perform other clinical responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Psychologist.

Requirements for Role of Assistant Psychologist

• Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in a clinical, research, or mental health environment.
