Candidate will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation to menu planning. The candidate should have a strong culinary background, leadership skills and a creative approach to cooking.
Responsibilities of Sous Chef
- Execute and oversee the preparation of dishes, ensuring they meet high standards for taste, presentation and quality.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef in developing and planning innovative menus that reflect culinary trends and customer preferences.
- Assist in managing kitchen operations, including staff scheduling, task assignments and equipment maintenance.
- Enforce strict standards of food quality, safety and cleanliness.
- Monitor and control food costs through portion control, waste reduction and efficient inventory management.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques, safety procedures and menu offerings.
- Work closely with the team to provide prompt and accurate service, contributing to a positive customer experience.
- Address customer feedback and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements for Role of Sous Chef
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- 1+ year experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
