Job Description

Assistant Manager in Sourcing (IT & Professional Services) at Seddiqi Holding in Umm Al Sheif, Dubai, UAE will execute strategic sourcing opportunities, develop category plans in collaboration with stakeholders, and negotiate highly complex contracts on behalf of multiple stakeholders. This role routinely influences and advises senior management on innovative category management plans that will create sustainable, commercially viable, long-term partnerships for the organization. Adherence to the group’s risk and compliance requirements, along with support toward the strategic direction of the department and the wider business, will be a core component of the role. The role will be responsible for Group procurement for Information Technology, Human Capital, and other Professional services. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 15000-30000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Assistant Manager Sourcing

  • Executes all sourcing activity including but not limited to understanding stakeholder needs, developing requirements, conducting market research, bid evaluation criteria, evaluate proposals, undertake vendor negotiations, create award recommendations reports.
  • Ensure all sourcing activities are conducted in an ethical and transparent manner.
  • Utilize eSourcing and eProcurement applications to drive optimum performance, efficiency, and effectiveness from each sourcing opportunity by reviewing purchase requisitions and applying the appropriate sourcing methods (outbid, general purchase, RFX’s and urgent)
  • Work collaboratively with category stakeholders and develop strategic category plans across various goods/services. Gain alignment on sourcing and negotiation strategies and long-term roadmap.
  • Effectively engage and establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders on a regular basis to plan and understand their critical projects and project requirements across spend categories and vendors.
  • Set SMART objectives for sourcing projects and provide regular and objective feedback on the performance. Proactively seek ways to identify cost saving strategy initiatives to ensure that the group achieves best value.
  • Develop negotiation plans aligned with stakeholders desired outcome for TCO, SLA, and agreement on key business terms.
  • Demonstrate competency and knowledge of contract development, key contracting principles and standard terms with vendors to ensure the value for money and accurate service levels are maintained and optimized. Implement negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
  • Organize data sets and develop robust analysis of spend, cost and performance metrics. Present compelling business cases to influence decision makers at all levels of the organization.

What you will do more

  • Manage compliance during all contracting processes. Drafting of contracts and following end to end contract management activities by coordinating with relevant stakeholders including; Legal, Finance, Data Privacy and Information Security. Route contracts for approvals and signature in accordance with Seddiqi Group Procurement policy.
  • Maintain knowledge of current category trends and actively monitor external business environment and be fully aware of the changes of vendor capabilities and changes within the vendor and purchasing environment for categories under management.
  • Develop and maintain strategic vendor relationships to ensure Seddiqi Holding is a client of choice that receives continuous business improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor performance of key vendors, facilitate regular performance reviews with stakeholders in order to assess value and quality of services/products.
  • Continuous support to your line manager’s vision and contribution to the department’s overall long term strategy.

Technical

  • Gain a thorough understanding of project management principles: establish project goals and milestones, business goals and changing priorities, RACI matrices and timelines as well as monitoring progress against project plan.
  • Development of procurement plans including oversight of pipeline projects across OPEX and CAPEX budgets for the assigned categories and therefore develop commercial models to drive growth through economies of scale and savings.
  • Define and develop category strategy management plans including conducting research, analyze trends, identifying purchasing habits, supply risk, supply base, cost and competitors which maximizes Seddiqi Holding value for money and continuous improvement of their procurement program.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities by supporting organizational initiatives and cross department initiatives independently and with little support from management.
  • Development of commercial models and procurement strategies and presentation of reports to senior management by highlighting cost-based reduction strategies capable of delivering annual target savings versus the budget / procurement plan aligned with the relevant departments.
  • Implement and promote transformation programmes with robust communication approaches to achieve a structured. And resilient change delivery and to support the development of an optimal procurement function and associated supply chain.
  • Continuously evaluate and develop lean procurement processes, policies, and systems to drive efficiency, streamline operations, and support scalability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities whilst maintaining a high level of organization and compliance.
  • Identify areas of improvement across the function, support implementation of best practices and innovative solutions to improve overall S2P effectiveness.

Requirements for Role of Assistant Manager Sourcing

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years job related experience in Procurement.
  • 5-8 years job related experience Experience in Strategic Sourcing/Category Management/Contract Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in setting negotiation strategies and leading complex contract negotiations by knowing contractual terms and conditions.
  • Proven experience managing large scale projects with an ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Clear understanding of and experience with Indirect Contracts and related terms and conditions for defined support functions.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Rapid progression within Procurement, Strategic Sourcing and/or Category Management career to date.
  • Informational Technology: IT Licensing & SaaS agreements, Cloud platform implementation and management services Infrastructure/Hardware/telecommunication/Subscription based cloud services.
  • Human Capital: Recruitment agencies/Leadership Programmes/Learning and Development platform solutions/Performance Management platform solutions/niche trainings/ Transformation services.
  • Finance: Financial Audit Services, Budgeting & Planning, Robotic Process Automation related platform and solutions with managed Support.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems like Oracle & SAP, especially in eSourcing and eProcurement.
  • Proven records of leading successful commercial outcomes and ability to successfully prioritize and solve complex problems, factoring instances of ambiguity and unexpected change.
  • Ability to formulate and present spend analysis, integrate market data and business cases to support complex category and sub-category strategies.
  • Understanding of end- to end procurement process.
  • Tenacious negotiation skills with primarily mega vendors Adobe, SAP, Microsoft, Salesforce, Recruitment agencies, Service Providers and Consultants etc.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendor management.
  • Strong communicator in both oral and written form, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Well versed in Strategic Sourcing/Category management/contract management for large scale projects.
