Responsibilities of Internal Auditor

• Conducting audits of financial, operational and compliance areas of the organization.
• Evaluating internal controls and identifying areas for improvement.
• Preparing audit reports that summarize findings and recommend solutions.
• Providing recommendations for improving business processes
• Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Identifying and assessing risks to the organization.
• Monitoring and reporting on the progress of audit recommendations.

Requirements for Role of Internal Auditor

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Professional certification such as CIA, CPA or CISA
• 5+ years of experience in internal auditing or related field
• Experience in a regulated industry such as healthcare or finance
