Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is currently seeking a dedicated Neurologist to join their talented team. This physician position is responsible for applying medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of illnesses for patients within the Neurosciences- Neuro-Hospitalist specialty at CCAD. Under the supervision and guidance of a consultant physician, this position treats patients directly and/or may make referrals to different members of the health care professional team at CCAD.
Responsibilities of Neurologist
- Monitors and provides care to patients at CCAD within the Neurosciences – Neuro-Hospitalist specialty.
- Prescribes or administers medication, therapy and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury.
- Analyses records, reports and test results to diagnose patient’s medical condition.
- Interacts with patient to gather additional history and information about medical condition.
- Explains procedures and discusses test results or prescribed treatments with patient.
- Provides specific treatments and/or performs operations to treat patient medical conditions.
- Evaluates patient and records applicable notes about patient’s condition for purposes of serving as a record of treatment and / or a possible referral to another member of the health care professional team.
- Liaisons with other medical and non-medical staff at CCAD to ensure quality patient treatment.
- Supplies and provides care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner.
- Takes part in administrative functions that ensure the continued operations of the clinical environment, such as committees, task forces and performance improvement measures.
- Provide hospital on-call in patient coverage as deemed necessary Follows ethical and regulatory guidelines.
- Adheres to individual approved clinical privileges, as well as to all policies and procedures of the Physician Staff.
Eligiblity Criteria
Following are the requirements for the role of Neurologist at CCAD:
- MBBS and specialization in Neurology from Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3 country.
- For Associate Staff (Specialist) from Tier 1 and Tier 2 countries, no additional experience required post board certification.
- For Associate Staff (Specialist) from Tier 3, not less than 3 years clinical experience as Specialist post qualification in internationally accredited institute.
- UAE nationals, require not less than one (1) year experience post qualification in the specialty field.
- Should meet the Maintenance of Certification requirements (where applicable).

- Demonstrated expertise in specialty practice area.
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills with patients, staff and other physicians.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive data at all times.
- Ability to speak and write in English is required.
- Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred.
