Parsons Corporation presently has an opening for qualified and passionate candidates for the role of a Logistics Lead Engineer Marine in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide direction and management of marine logistics to ensure on-schedule completion of the marine works. Responsibilities of A Logistics Lead Engineer Marine
- Promotes technical excellence on the delivery of the marine works, including furtherance of the Quality Improvement Process and Safety.
- Lead marine vessel movement and co-ordination and record keeping in terms of activities, vessel cycle times and any standby times.
- Preparation of method statements for marine activites including dredging, piling, revetments, sheet piling, underground services/utilities and any associated review of lifting plan procedures and job safety analysis.
- Oversee procurement and delivery of plant and equipment and construction materials.
- Lead materials receiving and storage management and the overall administration of material and inventory control. Scheduling and planning and understanding of fuel and water bunkering, scheduling and documentation.
- Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program including significant milestones and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule.
- Works with individual project managers to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
- Oversees establishment of Work Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan and other documents for hazardous waste work.
- Completes other associated with the position as may be appropriate.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for role of a Logistics Lead Engineer Marine are as under:
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management (or equivalent).
- Minumum 10+ years of related experience .
- Must have worked on marine civil engineering mega projects.
- Experience with logistics management and interfacing with contractors.
- Confident to intervene and co-ordinate simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).
- Professional Engineer registration may be required.
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.
