Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank is presently accepting applications from suitable candidate for the job role of Branch Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the branch to maximize new business opportunities and deepen existing relationships, while providing high quality in service delivery for both Institutional & Retail customers in an efficient operation that comply with Islamic Sharia requirements, where risks are well controlled. This job is for ADIB Shiekh Zayed Main Branch Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities of Branch Manager
Business acquisition through typical activities like
- Generation of new business via out marketing calls and in- branch contacts through “Open door policy” in meeting customers.
- Setting and monitoring sales plans for CRM, CROs and other sales staff as per forecast.
- Coaching of all sales staff to increase sales productivity and cross selling.
- Referral of prospective business to other functional units and or authorities.
- Enhancement of ADIB’s image and reputation.
Management of service delivery (Branch Manager)
- Monitor branch service standards for Institutional & Retail customer’s satisfaction.
- Institutional & Retail customer retention efforts with personal involvement in complaint resolution, account closures and inquiries.
- Getting ad-hoc customer’s feedback.
- Ensure service level agreements (SLA) with internal and external customers are in place, followed and are frequently calibrated for continuous improvement.
- Escalate and discuss problems/process bottlenecks with higher management to ensure periodic review and simplify the processes.
- Assure the branch transactions are in comply with implemented AML policy and ensures that suspicious transaction are duly reported to HO Compliance Unit.
Operations and support
- Control and supervision of operations work processes in compliance with ADIB’s Policies & Procedures, thus maintaining an acceptable both internal and external audit ratings.
- Prepare and provide prompt response to all audit and ICD comments after a detail discussion in a staff meeting, with a copy to RBG.
- Facilitating and implementing work process improvements
- Review and recommendations of credit applications
- Take over HOP’s responsibility during vacation of HOP.
- Conduct surprise check of Branch Vault cash on a monthly basis and reports exceptions if noted, to HO authorities.
Proactive mentoring and management of all branch staff
- Branch Team Maintain staff morale and relationship
- Observe, coach /train and counsel staff towards expected behaviors.
- Identify training developments for staff and ensure to meet the expected deadlines.
- Appraise staff individual scorecard deliverables against scorecard targets.
Requirements of Branch Manager
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance or in Accounting.
- 3-4 years of experience in similar role.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Detailed knowledge of ADIB’s Retail Banking & Institutional products & services.
- Broad knowledge of ADIB’s Retail Credit & Operational Policies & Procedures.
- Specific Knowledge of UAE banking practices , regulations & risks
- Thorough Knowledge of all the Regulations issued by Central Bank of UAE
- General awareness of competitors in the local market
