Duties of A Workshop Manager
- Supervise and manage the workshop efficiently and profitably.
- Supervise and manage the workshop administration.
- Ensure correct and efficient allocation of work in the workshop to maximise efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure timely and cost effective delivery of equipment to customers by establishing and implementing clear and efficient process and
work flow. - Maximize the department’s profitability through the sale of labour and associated products.
- Ensure that the quality of repair and workmanship is in accordance with manufacturer and company guidelines, rates are achieved.
- Provide clear and effective communication with customers, suppliers and other departments.
- Provide all technical support, necessary tools and technical information as well as organizational
information to subordinates enabling them to accomplish their task in a fast and efficient manner. - Recommend and obtain supplier information and pricing for the purchase of special tools & consumables at economical prices and ensures their proper utilization.
- Ensure that the workshop is presentable and credit to GTHE at all times.
- Assist the National Service Manager in operational improvement and provide information and assistance where required.
- Provide feedback and data as required by management.
Elgibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for role of a Workshop Manager are as under:
- High School Or College Education.
- 1-2 years prior leadership experience in a service-focused industry, experience leading teams and managing a diverse group of roles and responsibilities.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Prior experience leading field, technical repair or manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, Technology-driven environment with strong customer facing responsibilities.
- Strong experience in the technical field of heavy construction equipment & the dealership environment as well as organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to put safety in the forefront of anything else.
- Ability to work in a busy atmosphere.
