Petrofac is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced candidate for the position of Project Director in Sharjah.
Job Duties of Project Director
- Full project lifecycle ownership with complete responsibility for delivering a >500mUSD project safely on a target schedule in conformity with client specifications and standards.
- Provide onsite leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals.
- Build a strong relationship with the client senior management and ensure smooth working operations between project team and client team.
- Manage the expectations of all other internal and external stakeholders such as executive management, functional management, vendors, subcontractors, third party agencies and local authorities.
- Ensure that the project HSSE performance meets / exceeds the organizational targets.
- Relentless focus on service quality, promote quality awareness in every sphere of project activity and ensure that the project meets the design objectives.
- Management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on- time project delivery.
- Develop a strong governance and assurance framework on the project with real time reporting of information and communication, both internally and externally.
- Manage the procurement and manufacturing efforts performed across many international locations.
- Ensure high levels of completeness and quality of the deliveries.
- Utilize the in country know how to enable smooth operations on the ground.
- Build and maintain ethical relationships with the local authorities, military, and gendarmerie.
- Provide guidance and coaching to the team in management of their groups.
- Generate development plans and charting career paths for staff with recommendations for corresponding training programs.
- Monitor performance culminating in promotions/new roles as well as evaluating team members based on potential geared to training/career progression opportunities.
- Mentor young talent (especially fresh graduates) and prepare them for senior roles in the future.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.
Job Requirements For Project Director
The eligibility requirements for the role of Project Director are as under:
Qualification
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in an engineering or construction disciplines.
Experience
- Minimum 20 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry in particular the Offshore market.
- Experience in Electrical Offshore Wind Projects, including major onshore Civil construction.
- A previous track record of managing > 500 M USD projects in offshore platform projects and modular construction.
Certification
- PMI PMP certification.
