Responsibilities of A Procurement Expeditor
- Responsible for the expediting of all project purchase orders.
- Updating system with the expediting status of purchase orders.
- Expediting the engineering team for timely document approvals.
- Managing vendor documents flow with approved SDRL.
- Organizing PIM and conducting weekly expediting meetings with vendors.
- Experience in management of vendor documents through EDMS.
- Notifying Supply Chain Focal Points of any potential Schedule Slippages.
- Setting Expediting follow up dates in the relevant system.
- Performing expediting visits to supplier facilities.
- Liaison with Field Expediting services through the Client’s appointed third-party agency(s), as required.
- Receiving Field Expediting Progress Reports and updating the relevant systems.
- Issuing Expediting Reports as required by the project.
- Conducting quality control inspections and ensuring that procured goods and services meet required standards and specifications.
- Supporting lead engineer in procurement related activities.
- Managing the end-to-end expediting process, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintaining accurate Expediting records, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier performance reports.
Requirements for Role of Procurement Expeditor
The eligibility requirements for role of a Procurement Expeditor are as under:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years expediting experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Previous Middle East experience would be advantageous.
