Ajman University is presently hiring qualified & experience candidate for the job role of E Services Manager. The selected candidates will be responsible for the development and implementation of a plan to improve the use of technology in learning and teaching at AU. S/he will be working closely with the Director of IT and Deans. Maintain a high level of training and support for staff in the effective use of IT services, including the use of technology in the classroom for faculty members. S/he will demonstrate the necessary skills for this role. The E Services Manager will be reporting to the Director of IT.
Responsibilities of E Services Manager
- Lead the development of e learning enabling all staff/faculty to feel confident in its delivery.
- Work in partnership with the deans and managers to support the drive of AU digital environment.
- Develop the annual plan for this area of work that supports the AU’s strategic plan.
- Coordinate with the service provider on the used technology and make sure it is functioning as expected.
- Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.
- Coach and help develop team members; Motivate team members and help resolve dysfunctional behavior and facilitate problem solving and collaboration.
- Intervene when necessary to aid the team in resolving issues and ensures effective technology strategic planning and implementation and ensure discussions and decisions lead toward closure.
- Prepare Agendas, held bi weekly meetings and send the minutes of meetings for all of my team members.
- Assure that the team members have the necessary technical education and training to effectively participate in the team.
- Encourage creativity and skills improvement.
- Assist in preparing the Office of Information Technology budget.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of long term plans, goals and objectives to achieve the section’s technology priorities.
- Manage and coordinate with the service provider of the used LMS such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Plan for and arrange system patches and building block upgrades.
- Plan for and organize all usage scenarios of the LMS.
- Content copying of already developed courses.
- Develop and maintain LMS databases and integration with other systems.
- Work with other team members to update and implement disaster recovery plans.
- Analyze processes to find areas in which improvements can be made and efficiencies gained.
Job Requirements
The requirements for the job role of E Services Manager are as under:
- Graduate: Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field such as computer science or computer engineering.
- Years of related experience: min of 6 years in the field.
- Professional/Job Related Certificates.
- Post Graduate.
