Job Description

As a Technician at Chalhoub Group in Galleria Mall, 107 Hamouda Bin Ali Al Dhaheri St, Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi Global Market Square, Abu Dhabi, UAE, candidate will conduct general maintenance and repairs for their retail stores, back-office equipment, and external stock rooms. Candidate will ensure that all shop display fixtures, electrical equipment, Fire life safety systems, HVAC systems and plumbing systems in the store perform at optimum functionality. Candidate will also be responsible for engaging and communicating effectively with their internal clients, mall management executives, AMC service providers and other 3rd party vendors. This is an Entry level full time job. And salary can range between 4000-6000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Technician

  • Conduct daily visits to the stores to ensure all light bulbs, plumbing, HVAC systems, and FLS systems are maintained as per standards and performing optimally.
  • Conduct inspections and resolve general electrical/plumbing issues with the highest service level and in a timely manner.
  • Attend and resolve general joinery and works.
  • Prepare the monthly preventive planned maintenance checklist and submit the same to the Technical Supervisor for review.
  • Ensure regular updates are provided for maintenance incidents raised via their group-developed software.
  • Ensure all periodic maintenance carried out by external service providers, is carried
    out as per schedule.
  • Request electrical/plumbing or hardware supplies as per store requirements to their
    approved local vendors.
  • Coordinate with the Retail store/Vendors team to acquire mall permits in a timely
  • Inspect and share accurate scope of works based on site situation and share with
    Technical Supervisor for Tendering purposes.
  • Ensure availability 24/7, in case of emergency assistance.
  • Follow up and coordinate via emails with local approved vendors for site inspections and job execution.
  • Escalate issues related to the mall service lines to the concerned mall operations.

Requirements for Role of Technician

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a technician.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Possess a flexible personality with good stakeholder management skills.
