Job Description
The role of Mechanical Supervisor at ADNOC is to supervise the safe and efficient execution of preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection and repair works for all mechanical systems and equipment. Job ID for this vacancy is 23027.
Key Activities Of Mechanical Supervisor
Following are the duties and responsibilities for the said role:
Mechanical Maintenance Supervision
- Supervises the service, repair and maintenance activities of all mechanical systems and equipment including all Fuel dispensers, pipelines, valves, transfer pumps, measuring instruments, process facilities, air compressors, storage tanks, Fire Fighting facilities, Generators, OTG Stations.
- Ensure that maintenance is carried out in accordance with company standards, proper engineering and technical standards and safety and environmental requirements.
- Job involves self-driving to sites in company pool vehicles.
- Reviews and allocates all daily work orders received for any mechanical, as required.
- Coordinates with Maintenance Planning for scheduling and implementation of required repair and maintenance works.
- Coordinates with end users for all repairs, replacement, modification, calibration, overhaul etc carried out by tradesmen to ensure smooth progress of all scheduled repair and preventive maintenance works.
- Ensures carrying out regular routine and scheduled inspection and maintenance of all mechanical equipment.
- Inspect equipment for signs of corrosion, assists in implementing anti corrosive/ protection techniques, maintains records and monitors condition continually.
- Attend all breakdowns in his area of responsibility to promptly and equipment is returne to service Safely and as soon as possible.
- Supervise Third party vendor works quality/quantity and In House technicians for all repairs, replacement, modification etc.
- Conducts inspections, monitor work progress and completions.
- Responsible to utilize technical expertise in providing troubleshooting of problems on a day-to-day basis.
- Handles administrative issues related to the PM & CM works like preparing and generating Work Orders, SPO’s, AR, PR, Petty cash.
- Support invoice related functions after completion of maintenance works (in-house or contracted).
- Conducts PAC/FAC inspections followed with submission of reports.
Continuous Improvement, Reporting And Analysis
- Assists in establishing methods, controls, and standards for the actual execution of maintenance work.
- Recommends improvements on work methods and keeps up to date with the latest work techniques and standards.
- Prepares total actual cost of works including manpower, equipment, spare parts, and daily work activities, daily over time of craft men, monthly work orders report and submit to Maintenance Planning Section.
- Evaluates man hours and costs on individual, maintenance, and modifications to ensure optimum utilisation of manpower and material resources in implementation of scheduled maintenance programs.
Contract Management
- Prepares Scope of work for 3rd party works, inspects work done, and prepares completion certificates.
- Coordinates 3rd Party work at site with guidance on obtaining Permit to Work and ensures the conditions of Work Permit is satisfactorily implemented, along with JSA/RA as and where required.
- Controls and monitors 3rd party contractors in the execution of contracts and Price Agreements.
- Conducts inspections to maintain safety and quality of work in line with stringent ADNOC Distribution standards.
- Prepares report on annual Contractors evaluation.
Inventory Management
- Reviews & monitors spare part inventory and recommends additional parts to be stocked and advises on minimum, maximum stock etc.
- Support Team leader in CAPEX related proposals review, Budgeting, Actual implementation of approved capex works with pre-commissioning /commissioning activities and conducting HAZOP, HSEIA, HAZID and Risk Assessments etc. as and when required.
Minimum Requirements
The eligibility requirements for the role of Mechanical Supervisor are as under:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in Oil and Gas Industry or Petrochemical industry.
