Duties as Housekeeping Supervisor
- Monitor and ensure housekeeping staff reports for duty punctually, well-groomed and wearing the correct uniform and name badge.
- Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
- Constant monitoring of the service standards of the housekeeping staff in designated areas.
- Communicate new or amended procedures to relevant departments/staff in a timely manner.
- Develop deep cleaning schedules and ensures that they are executed/monitored.
- Relieve in supervisory capacity when required.
- Ensure DAMAC Hotels & Resorts values are put into practice in daily work activities.
- Liaise with Engineering to ensure all equipment are in good order.
- Maintains intuitive relation with other departments in order to ensure that guests receive the best possible service at all times.
- Understands and is aware of all fire and safety procedures.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards in all assigned areas.
- Ensure handling of all keys in a secure manner.
- Control department’s forms and records according to the document control procedures.
- Communicate and ensure that the departmental performance plan is understood by all HK Staff.
What you’ll do
- Conduct training and re-training of HK Staff in accordance with DHRM training policy.
- Evaluate standard operating procedures and suggest improvement.
- Ensure cleanliness and good maintenance of all housekeeping equipment. Schedule necessary preventive maintenance in a timely manner.
- Have in-depth knowledge about Hotel and its facilities.
- Attend departmental meetings that require housekeeping representation.
- Assist in the training of the HK staff within the department ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with maximum efficiency.
- Supervise the HK Staff within the department.
- Ensure that housekeeping HK Staff exercise proper discipline and courtesy in attending to guest needs and provide regular feedback to them.
- Maintain and control the consumption of cleaning materials and manage the stock level of cleaning supplies.
Education & Experience of Housekeeping Supervisor
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 2 year experience in a similar capacity.
- Has hotel apartments background.
Required Knowledge
- Knowledgeable in use of Cleaning Chemicals.
- Knowledgeable in use of Cleaning Machineries.
- Knowledgeable in Linen & Towels.
